Kate LoConti Alcocer

BIOGRAPHY


Kate is a Faculty Fellow in the Department of Theatre and Fine Arts here at NU, having joined the Faculty in 2024.  She teaches Effective Speech.  Prior to NU, Kate served as Executive Artistic Director of Irish Classical Theatre Company, and Theatre Arts Program Coordinator at SUNY Niagara.  In addition, Kate has held adjunct teaching positions at SUNY Buffalo, and teaching artist positions in Western New York, New York City, and Chicago.  Kate has had the great fortune of performing internationally in Spain, London, and Venezuela, as well as nationally at Classic Stage Company, The Goodman, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, and Shattered Globe.  Locally, she has worked with many prestigious theatre companies including: ICTC, SIDP, The Kavinoky, BUA, and Theatre For Change.  Kate is an award-winning actor and producer, and has extensive credits as a theatre performer and voice-over artist spanning three decades, and several major cities.

Kate is actively involved in the Buffalo Theatre Community as an actor, director, voice-over artist, teaching artist, verse coach, and mentor.
