Classic comedy from a 20th century master.
Four well-heeled couples arrive at the townhouse of a New York City deputy mayor and his wife to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. But he's been shot in the head (only a flesh wound), and she's missing. The attorney tries a cover-up that reaches the point where nobody can remember which image-conscious guest has told what about whom. Doors slam and hilarity abounds as the whole affair descends into chaos.
